Welcome to My Blog

Hi. My name is Samra, I am a poet from London and humanitarian charity aid worker. I write most of my poems during my train journey, in Piccadilly line.

I’ve been writing poems most of my life, but only recently started sharing them and coming to terms with calling myself a poet.

This blog is to translates my poems that are hidden away somewhere in my thoughts to an online theater production where there are no cast but an interactive audience that I seek their critical feedback before their applause.

I publish two to three times per month, sometimes more. If you don’t want to miss a thing, sign up for free updates by entering your e-mail address via my home page.

  1. Thanks for visiting my blog! I enjoyed reading many of your recent poems, and especially like ‘The Testimony’ and the line about taking pride in Mary’s veil. I also especially like the thoughts about the best of sinners are those who repent… something I think we all need to be mindful of! JS

  2. Thank you for your feedback and kind words. I totally agree Yes God has wrath but His Mercy befall us all. We need to remember he forgives so there is hope after sinning, We must seek repentance and ensure we do not take our lust as a Lord beside He. Thanks JS

      Stay blessed

  3. That is quite interesting choice, any reason why those three! Thank you for taking the time to read my work, your feedback is welcome.

    Thank you

  4. Well done Sam!
I read few of your poems and I am impressed. Do you write books as well? Besides the abstract of your poetry, I was stunned by the imaginative power of the pictures you had chosen for some of your poems. I also like your note about Hadraawi, whom I really admire). He has been my role Model as a child and I always read his work (in fact, I could read many of his poems by rote!). Please keep going and l will definitely follow you blog:)
